Thrashers' Armstrong gets two-games ban for hit

TORONTO (Reuters) - Atlanta Thrashers forward Colby Armstrong was suspended for two games after elbowing Washington's Mathieu Perreault in the head, the National Hockey League said on Friday.

Armstrong was not assessed a penalty for the hit, which occurred 12:40 into the second period of the Thrashers' 2-1 road loss on Thursday. Perreault was injured on the play but returned later in the game.
