The National Hockey League's Boston Bruins will play an exhibition game on October 2 at the Odyssey Arena in Belfast, Northern Ireland.
The Bruins will play the Belfast Giants Select, a unified team comprised of an all-star players from the United Kingdom Elite League.
Boston officially opens their 2010-11 regular season by playing the Phoenix Coyotes at Prague's O2 Arena on October 9 and then again on October 10.
It marks the Bruins first return to Europe in 50 years when Boston and the New York Rangers embarked on a 10-city, 23-game tour that included stops in Geneva, Paris, Berlin, Vienna and London following the 1958-59 NHL season.
Bruins captain Zdeno Chara played for his home nation Slovakia in the recent Winter Olympic Games in Vancouver.
