Rene Bourque scored three goals for his first NHL hat trick, and the Calgary Flames beat the Ottawa Senators 6-3 on Saturday night.
Andre Roy, Adrian Aucoin and Todd Bertuzzi added goals, and Miikka Kiprusoff made 27 saves. Chris Phillips, Jason Spezza and Alexandre Picard scored for Ottawa.
After Phillips and Spezza gave Ottawa a 2-0 lead in the second period, Bourque tied it with goals in a 58-second span. Bourque's third goal of the game and 14th of the season made it 5-3 with 5:35 left in the third period.
The Flames have earned points in seven straight games (4-0-3) to open a three-point lead over Vancouver atop the Northwest Division.
