Chicago's Bolland using defense to check Sharks, who trail 0-2 in Western Conference finals
Dave Bolland has turned into a real bother for the San Jose Sharks.
The pesky Blackhawks center has been making it difficult for San Jose's top line. Star center Joe Thornton slashed Bolland before a faceoff in Game 2 and the two got tangled up earlier, too.
The Blackhawks lead the Western Conference finals 2-0 with Game 3 in Chicago on Friday night.
Chicago coach Joel Quenneville is expected to match the line of Bolland, Kris Versteeg and Andrew Ladd against Thornton's line, which has also included Patrick Marleau and Dany Heatley.
San Jose, the top seed in the West, has only three goals so far in the series.
